Fall Fashion Tips: Hair Ideas for Autumn

Autumn is in the air, bringing with it the cool freshness of my favorite season. The changing leaves on the trees provide us with a beautifully colored canvas, on which to paint the fun and romance of our autumn adventures. For this reason, this is one of the best seasons of the year to explore some new fall fashion trends…specifically, some fresh autumn hair ideas.

As such, I thought I’d share a video with you today that demonstrates one of the easiest new hairstyles for women you could possibly imagine. This hairstyle should only take between 5-10 minutes to create, which is awesome! So, if you have a couple of minutes to spare and you’re looking for new hair ideas, watch this video now.

The fall fashion-friendly style shown on the video incorporates a twist, but this is optional; you can go with a braid if you would like (although the author of the video believes that the twist would be quicker and simpler). As with most new hairstyles for women, the first thing you need to do is figure out where you want your hair to be parted. Then gather your bangs, which will be hanging outside your updo, and pin them up. Next, section off a chunk of your hair; this will be either twisted or braided.

After you have a section of hair selected for twisting or braiding, just pin up the rest for now. Once your hair is pinned up, you will go back to the portion of hair that you originally sectioned off, and twist or braid that first section (the video takes you through the steps for twisting, which will leave you with a sort of half twisted headband). During this step, the video will show you how to twist this section of hair down to your ear, at which point you will pin it back.

Then you will gather all of your hair to the opposite side of the twist, and put it into a pony tail. Next, you'll take a smaller section of your hair from the pony tail, and basically create a bow by looping the hair back and securing it with a pin. You will then need to repeat this process until you have looped all of your remaining hair.

Again, as with most new hairstyles for women, before finishing up, you will want to style your bangs. There is no set rule here, so go ahead and style your bangs anyway you would like (if you don't have bangs, don’t worry about it; it is not a problem as you don't really need them). Finally, add a colorful flower pin or another fall fashion accessory to finish off the look.
