Sedu Styles for Short Hair
So far we've only looked at long hair – of course short hair also benefits greatly from the
use of straightening irons.
Short, jaw length bobs are great for using the irons, as long as the cut is kept in shape with
regular trims. Making those ends sit poker-straight looks really effective on a style that is so often left to
curl under.
A short, choppy cut can be made to look quite different when the irons are applied. Using the
thinner plates, hair can be pulled outwards from the head, giving layers a lot of texture. A bit of wax on the
ends and they become even more defined. Applying clips can make for a very cute and individual style.
Alternatively, try flipping the ends
out by pulling the straighteners up slightly as they go along the hair.
Don't brush afterwards, just ruffle with the fingers and then finish with a light mist of
hairspray for a softer feel, or add a little wax to the ends to make it really funky. This one may be for the
more adventurous out there, and certainly leaves an impression!
The style in this picture is easily achieved with a straightener. After washing, adding heat protective lotion and drying, the
hair is pulled through the straighteners, twisting them down and then up along the length of the hair to make
the wave.
