Using Your Sedu Flat Iron

1. Shampoo and rinse your hair, and then apply a small amount of conditioner, but leave this in your hair. Also apply a small amount of heat protection spray to the hair.
2. Blow dry your hair using a paddle brush to smooth down the hair and keep the locks in the right direction.
3. Take your hair into 3 sections, starting with the hair closest to your neck. Grip the rest on top of your head for the moment.
4. Pass the straighteners over your hair, taking your time and pressing firmly. 
5. Let down the next section and repeat, continue until all the hair is straightened. Finish your hair by combing it gently and applying a gloss serum.

Sedu Flat Iron Options

Generally, straighteners come in two widths, 1 inch and 1.5 inch. For everyday straightening, the wider ones are recommended for hair longer than shoulder length, while the narrower ones are for shorter hair.

However, if you want to use them for curling, the narrower ones might also be a good investment as they will help to create smaller curls. It doesn't sound like a lot, but the half inch difference matters! Wider plates can be used more effectively for making waves.

Both types of straightener will suit any hair type - colored, thick or fine, though the thicker width ones are recommended for particularly thick or coarse hair. The way to use them for a specific sedu hair style is to pay special attention to the heat settings.
