Sunbathing Sensibly
Are you confused about the conflicting advice on staying out
in the sun recently?
We've always been advised to stay out of the sun as it
increases the risk of skin cancer. Yet now we're being told
that a little sun helps to produce Vitamin D which may reduce
the risk of certain types of cancer.
As ever, it seems that too much of a good thing is what we
need to avoid - and that old phrase "moderation in everything"
once again seems to have proven itself.

Healthy Smoothies for Glowing Skin
and Hair
Quick note - with so much fruit being in season - now is the
time to whisk up your own vitamin-packed smoothies.
Try using orange or apple juice and adding bananas, grapes,
kiwi fruit - and whatever fruit you've got to hand - and
whisking it all up in the liquidiser or blender.
Homemade smoothies taste different every time - but that's
half the fun!

Hairdressers, Prices, Men &
Women
One thing that has always puzzled me - how is it that men
seem to pay so much less for getting their hair
cut than women ?
For example, my sixteen year old son had a haircut last week
at the barber that cost him just £10. The hair cut took about
40 minutes.
My own haircuts (much as I love them) cost around £35 and
take about the same time.
Does anyone else find it rather strange that women pay so
much more - even though the time spent is about the same?
By the way, I wouldn't want to go anywhere else but my
current hairdresser, she's great and does wonders with my curly
hair .

As a popular site on hair, we often get contacted by other
related sites.
Hair Parlor have got some useful articles on
coloring and bleaching your hair, but what was particularly
well written and helpful was their info on common hair
problems, such as dandruff, flaky, itchy or greasy scalps and
psoriasis.
You can find out some cool hair care tips at the Hair Parlor
website.
Do let us know your favorite sites - we'd love to review
them and add them to our recommended sites.

Making Money from your Passion !
We've all probably wondered how we could make money from
something we enjoy - such as writing about fashion and
hair.
But have you ever really wondered if you could make money
without working so hard?
If you've not come across Squidoo lenses before, they're a
free way to set up a moneymaking website or page.
Some people use them to raise money for charity or get
publicity for their chosen cause, others just enjoy writing
about whatever is their passion - there's lenses about subjects
from Updos to Beef Jerky!
If you've already got a website or blog, are you using
affiliate programs to make additional revenue? There's a number
of popular hair products and programs that you can promote -
for example, you can click
here to join the Stellure hair affiliate program.
Don't just add the affiliate link, but write something about
it, having reviewed the website and products yourself - it's
your own enthusiasm and honesty that'll inspire people to
buy.
