Treat Your Feet & Hands

It's a bit of a strange time of year in the UK - winter is on the way out, but spring hasn't yet arrived.

For those of us who need a bit of a boost, what could be better than treat your feet and hands to a little something - a pedicure or manicure.

For the first time I had a pedicure which involved a paraffin wax treatment - this involves the rather crazy process of dipping each foot into hot wax, which initially feels warm and then has a little more bite !

These are then wrapped so that the heat and wax can help to moisturise the skin - the heat draws the blood flow and helps to revitalise tired feet.

Once the wax is cooled it peels off in one "foot" and your feet are silky soft and healthy looking.

If you're looking for a pick me up during the winter months - this is the ideal treat for both you and your body.

Best Wedding Sites

Since last writing, we've had great news - my son Martin is going to be getting married later this year to the wonderful Sofia.  Congratulations to you both.

So, here's a few of my favourite sites from browsing around on the net for informative, easy to use, interesting sites for brides-to-be:-

• Confetti.co.uk - a classic site
• My Wedding Favors - I return to this site again and again, it's so beautifully laid out, the items are so pretty and so very affordable
• SarahsFlowers.co.uk - as a bride who had my own bouquet of silk flowers, I love them and still have my bouquet as a keepsake
• www.squidoo.com/plussizeweddingdress - I'm a big fan of Squidoo, though not quite an addict.  This site is a useful review of the options available to curvier brides.
• WeddingMakeUpAndHair.com - Pam Wrigley is a beauty consultant and hair stylist specialising in wedding makeup and hair
• http://weddingbellsblog.com -a wedding gowns blog which is full of beautiful pictures of wedding dresses and just enough text to keep you interested

These are just a few of my favorite bridal sites - I'm sure that as time goes on my future daughter-in-law may suggest a few too!

Happy New Year - Let's Get Winzy-cal

Just come across a cool new site that's got lots of fun.  It's called Winzy Search  and you can search and win free prizes. 

It also has some fun stuff and an easy way to invite friends - but, be warned, it could be addictive !
