Hair Braiding
A trend set to rock the beaches all around the globe this
year, braiding is back in all shapes and sizes. Just steer
clear of doing anything too obvious, or this will seem a bit
too girly.
Fashion conscience women might try any of these styles of
braids:
Front Side Braid Look You can see this look on
Lauren Conrad.
Start by applying a styling product to the hair, something
that will give it a bit of shine and make it more workable.
Then part your hair to the side, further than a regular
side-parting. Section back all hair that is more than 5cm /
2ins away from the hair line, so it does not get in the way
whilst you braid.
Take the biggest section, and start French braiding with the
first 1 cm. Work your way down the hair, you can decide to make
it a messy beach look, or a more sleek and chic office
hairstyle by how tight and carefully you braid. Finish the look
by pinning the side braid behind your ear.
Mini Plait to Bun Nicole Richie loves to
create this look.
Start by creating four French plaits from a slight side
parting. Use two sections on either side, one from just above
the ear, and the other from the parting.
Pin these braids at the back and combine them together with the
rest of your hair to create a messy bun. Pull section out and
put them back into the band or re-pin them to make it even
messier.
Finish off by giving your hair a little spritz of hair spray
so it stays put all day.

For fabulous looks straight from the designer catwalks,
here's our top tips for inspiration and style.
Diane Von Furstenberg The amazing beach hairstyles
seen on the 2009 spring and summer catwalk are such an
inspiration for holiday hair this season.
Recreate this look by popping hair into some huge heated
rollers, and then adding a great hair accessory.
Something floral and fun is appropriate, and an alice band
placed near the front of the hair looks cute. Compliment this
flirty look with some highlights and a bit of fake tan!
Gucci Long and luscious is the right way to recreate
the look on the Gucci catwalk.
Pop on a hair treatment, a serum or mask that will super
moisturise your hair, and give it bounce and body. Leave your
hair to dry in big rollers for max volume.
